My Story

My name is Mark Cole and on September 13th this year, I will be setting off from Hull on Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race, competing in a 10 month, 35000 mile race, on one of ten identical 68ft sailing yachts.  The race is split up into seven legs taking me in a round trip from the UK via Brazil, South Africa, Australia, China and the US, to name but a few places I will be visiting.

While the race is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me I hope to use it as an opportunity to raise awareness and, I guess more importantly, funds  in support of The Children’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children in the North East.

I would like to raise at least £5000 with all proceeds donated directly to The Children’s Foundation.  Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to whatever support you can provide.
